Former Biden Appointee Arrested for Fake Social Media Postings
Since 2016, we have seen all types of alleged hate crimes against liberals and Democrats.
What we have also seen is a ridiculous amount of them that were hoaxes, and we can now add one more to the list.
That would be the alleged hate postings against former Biden appointee Taral Patel.
It Was a Hoax
Patel previously served in the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division in the Public Integrity Section and was appointed by President Biden to serve in the Office of White House Liaison, as well as the White House Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Committee.
More recently, he put his hat into the ring, running for county commissioner in Fort Bend County Precinct.
Patel had posted on his social media account a bunch of hateful posts that were allegedly made against him.
In the post, he stated, “These hateful images (a small sample attached here) are from a place of deep and misguided fear – incited by people like former President Donald Trump, and today’s extremist Republican party fear that immigrants are ‘taking their jobs’ and setting out to hurt our own communities.”
His opponent, Andy Meyers, and others noticed that something was not right about the posts, recognizing one of the names as “Antonio Scalywag,” so Meyers requested an investigation into the claims.
Facebook and Google were subpoenaed to provide the identity and information of said individual, which resulted in the Texas Rangers arresting Patel for online impersonation in the 3rd Degree.
He has also been charged with a misdemeanor charge for misrepresentation of identity.
Patel was sent to Fort Bend County jail, where he eventually posted a total of $22,500 bail and was released, with his court appearance scheduled for July 22.
It is nonsense like this why most people no longer give credence to hate crimes until they are proven to be true, as Democrats and liberals have far too many times staged these incidents to push their agenda or campaign.
