Chicago Violence Leaves 5 Dead, 22 Injured

We are at that time of the year when Monday and Tuesday bring in the crime reports for Democrat-run cities in this country.

Most of the time, that is gun violence that equates to a mass shooting every weekend.

On that front, Chicago and its new mayor did not disappoint, with a total of 27 bodies hitting the ground, five of them being sent to the morgue. This after only three weeks ago NBC Chicago reported 35 shootings with five fatalities.

Just Another Weekend

If a crazed conservative walked into a Texas mall and opened fire, killing five people and wounding another 22, we all know what the headlines would be today.

The death and injury toll in that statement above played out, but the players were different.

The shootings took place in Chicago, most likely gang and drug disputes, at least for the majority of them, so nobody really cares.

In one of the shootings, a group was waiting for their party bus to arrive when several cars pulled up and started an argument. Soon after, shots were fired from inside the car, hitting everyone that had been waiting for the bus.

One neighbor who lives near where the shooting occurred, stated, "It was in the early evening, shots fired. I thought it was still fireworks, actually. I know they carry over the fireworks, but this time, it wasn't."

Another neighbor begged for more police presence to get the neighborhood cleaned up, stating, "They need to clean it up. Even the police, even our area. The kids can't even come to play. This is not safe," reports ABC 7 Chicago.

Here is the really sad thing… in at least three of the deaths, the police still have nobody in custody.

Chicago and cities like it have become the wild west in this country, with rivals standing in the middle of the street and firing off shots until one of them is dead.

But let me know when Biden, KJP, or Nancy Pelosi talk about the fact we need to do something to end the gun violence in Chicago… I'll wait.
