FAIR Immigration Study Puts $20B Price Tag on Immigration

Since Joe Biden has been in office, roughly four million illegal immigrant encounters have occurred at the border.

Of those, roughly 25 percent have been released to our interior.

There are almost another one million who got through undetected, what they call "gotaways."

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that the cost to taxpayers for this mess is around $20 billion per year.

Where Is the Money

Joe Biden loves to talk about the budget deficit, but I doubt we will see this line on any spreadsheet.

Currently, it is estimated that illegal immigration has a price tag of about $140 billion per year.

That cost will now be about $160 billion, thanks to Joe's open border policies.

FAIR laid some ideas on how that money could be better used.

It would provide $50,000 annually to every homeless veteran for the next 10 years.

Families making under $50,000 per year could get a $410 grocery voucher.

That money could be used to fund and extend our school lunch programs.

They could hire 330,000 more teachers.

Oh, that money would also finish the wall that Donald Trump started.

Dan Stein, president of FAIR, stated, "Even in an age in which trillion dollar spending packages and are considered modest, the additional $20.4 billion the Biden Border Crisis has heaped onto the backs of American taxpayers is still staggering.

"$20.4 billion could address some very important needs of the American public, instead of covering the costs of the surge of illegal migration triggered by this administration's policies."

Please, someone, tell me how Joe Biden has the welfare of the American people at the top of his agenda.
