US House Passes Landmark TikTok Ban

President Joe Biden is likely concerned after hearing the latest news.

There has been long been talk of banning the popular social media platform, TikTok.

Uh-oh, Joe.

TikTok is famously a Chinese platform and concerns surrounding allowing the Chinese Communist Party access to so many of the American people’s personal data.

Now, a new vote taken in the House of Representatives on the TikTok bill created to stop China from accessing our data passed 360 to 58.

Rep. Ritchie Torres recently released a statement that said the legislation “represents a bipartisan breakthrough against the CCP’s most powerful tool of information warfare against the United States.”

Torres did not stop there.

He went so far as to say the members of Congress would never “stand by idly while the CCP freely weaponizes TikTok to corrupt the minds of young Americans, radicalize Americans against their own country, and amplify antisemitism on a scale and at a pace not seen in human history.”

It is said that over 150 million American citizens use the app.

Ben Kew of RedState recently said that Tik Tok “is an arm of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and poses a genuine threat to national security through its ability to spy and collect data on the unsuspecting.”

Kew, pro-ban, also said that “pulling back from a clamp down on Tiktok would be a major mistake.”

However, despite the huge threat the app potentially poses to our nation’s security, there would without a doubt be outrage spread across the country if a ban was implemented.

Who would Americans upset by the ban choose to blame?

President Joe Biden and his administration.

With his ratings already suffering, a TikTok ban might as well be the final nail in his administration’s coffin.

Do you think the government will succeed in banning TikTok in America?
