Michael Cohen May Have Undermined Case Against Trump on Social Media

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former “fixer,” may have just inadvertently fixed a case for Donald Trump.

Cohen had posted a bunch of videos on TikTok about the Trump case.

Those posts, according to some legal experts, may have just crushed Bragg’s case against Trump.

Not a Good Idea

Cohen is slated as one of the star witnesses against Trump in the hush-money case brought by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.

Cohen, however, took to social media to post rants about the case during fundraising efforts.

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy explained, "It is a major problem for prosecutors. It is not a problem for Cohen’s credibility because he has none — he is a convicted perjurer and fraudster whose current ‘defense’ of his fraud convictions is that he wasn’t telling the truth when he pled guilty.”

If you are unfamiliar with TikTok, viewers can donate “gifts” to the account. Those gifts can then be converted to cash or other items that can be used virtually.

McCarthy added, "It’s a problem for prosecutors because they chose to build a case on a witness with a track record of bad conduct and deep bias and, not surprisingly, he can’t help himself but continue to act in character.”

Even disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti, whose former client, Stormy Daniels, is also a witness in the case, railed against Cohen.

He stated, "Michael Cohen through his narcissism and his ego may have just torpedoed the case against Trump.

"Never underestimate this guy's ability to screw something up due to his ignorance and arrogance. He's dumber than a box of rocks.

“The state can't win the case without him and because of his conduct in reviewing trial testimony in violation of the court's order, which just admitted to when speaking with ABC, the court must strike him as a witness, declare a mistrial, or both.

"He had no business commenting on other witnesses' testimony."

The Trump camp has reportedly reached out to Avenatti to testify for the defense in the case.

Avenatti further stated that Bragg has “a lot of explaining to do” because Cohen is not supposed to have access to testimony in the case before his testimony is given so as not to influence anything he might say.

Numerous other legal experts also chimed in, all ripping Cohen and Bragg for allowing Cohen to do the videos during the trial.

Cohen responded, "I am not the defendant in this criminal matter and am not the subject of Judge Merchan's gag order. Donald is. Nevertheless, I elected, out of respect to the court and the prosecutors, to cease commenting on Trump and this matter; which I have done.”

Cohen has lost all credibility in legal circles, and I am sure that Trump’s defense team is going to have a field day with him once they get him on the stand.
